In 2017, she joined the University of A Coru\u00f1a as an InTalent researcher, where she founded the QuimBio group, focused on designing peptide-based tools for the development of biosensors, self-assembled materials, and drugs. In 2019, she was awarded an ERC Starting Grant and held a Ram\u00f3n y Cajal fellowship until 2025. The project focuses on validating a family of highly selective peptides capable of eliminating chemotherapy-resistant tumour cells without affecting healthy ones, in more complex biological environments, assessing their feasibility for long-term clinical development.
