A Coru\u00f1a, November 2, 2016.- The Reitor of the University of Coru\u00f1a, Julio Abalde, and the Vice Reitor of Scientific Policy, Research and Transfer, Salvador Naya, announced this morning in a press release the \r\nopening of the call for the UDC-Inditex InTalent Program to hire excellent international researchers who want to develop their scientific project in the UDC centers. Researchers will be able to register and carry out \r\nall the procedures through the website www.intalent.udc.es<\/a> from tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on December 1. A commission of experts, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of Scientific Policy, Research and \r\nTransfer, made up of five researchers specialized in different scientific disciplines, will evaluate the applications and select two of them so that they can begin working at the research centers in Coru\u00f1a or Ferrol from \r\nJanuary 2017.\r\n<\/span>The Universidade da Coru\u00f1a, co-financed by Inditex of 1,450,000 euros in total, will hire six researchers, who will join two years in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The contract will have a duration of two years, with the \r\npossibility of extension for another year, logo two cales, UDC will incorporate these scientists as teaching staff and researcher. The amount of each contract will be 45,000 euros per year, plus a contribution of \r\n10,000 euros for the post costs of launching your scientific project. In addition, the University will pay 1,000 euros for travel expenses.\r\n<\/span>The speaker highlighted in a press release the importance of this program for the Universidade da Coru\u00f1a. On the one hand, Abalde explained, it covers the objective of attracting and retaining talent, \u201cor more \r\nimportantly that we have the University\u201d, and on the other hand, due to the relevance of this joint project of collaboration between the university and the company. \u201cI thank Inditex for its willingness to participate in \r\nthis very important project for the UDC, a gratitude that I want to personalize to its president, Pablo Isla, and also to the General Secretary of Inditex and president of the Social Council of the UDC, Antonio Abril, \r\nwho acted as an intermediary and who always helped the University of Coru\u00f1a.\u201d The speaker also has words of appreciation for the previous director, Xos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Armesto, and for the previous vice-president of \r\nResearch and Transfer, Ricardo Cao, because the project of the InTalent Program began to be presented to them in the Directorate of the University of Coru\u00f1a.\r\n<\/span>For his part<\/span>, the vice-reitor of Scientific Policy, Research and Transfer, advanced that it is still not known what the answer will be to this program that is being launched for the first time and does not have \r\nequivalence in our universities, \"due to the requests for information that are being made these days, we believe that there will be a lot of demand.\"<\/span><\/span><\/pre>\n<\/div>\n
