This ranking, which seeks to give visibility to women in the field of research, is based on Google Scholar and ORCID profiles, and was created from metric indicators such as the h-index and the number of citations of publications.<\/p>\n<p>Among the first 1000 are 14 researchers from the UDC, the first to appear being the Ram\u00f3n y Cajal and InTalent researcher Veronika Chobanoba, who currently works in the Nuclear and High Energy Physics and Technology Research Group (FiTNAE) and occupies 26th place on the list.<\/p>\n<p>Already in position 294, the next outstanding researcher is Soledad Muniategui Lorenzo, university professor in the Area of \u200b\u200bAnalytical Chemistry, followed by Rosa M\u00aa Fern\u00e1ndez Garc\u00eda, in position 305, in the Area of \u200b\u200bPsychobiology; and Purificaci\u00f3n L\u00f3pez Mah\u00eda, in place 399, Muniategui&#8217;s colleague in the Analytical Chemistry Area.<\/p>\n<p>Blanca Laff\u00f3n, university professor in the Area of \u200b\u200bPsychobiology, is ranked 412th, and in 544th place is Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Abad, university professor in the Area of \u200b\u200bApplied Physics, followed by Josefina M\u00e9ndez, emeritus professor and researcher in the Area of \u200b\u200bGenetics, in 600th place; Sonia P\u00e9rtega D\u00edaz in 717th, from the Area of \u200b\u200bPreventive Medicine and Public Health; and Susana Rodr\u00edguez Mart\u00ednez, in 806th place, professor and researcher in the Area of \u200b\u200bEvolutionary Psychology.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing with the list, Professor Amparo Alonso Betanzos, from the Area of \u200b\u200bComputer Science and Artificial Intelligence occupies position number 843, very close to Mar\u00eda A. Se\u00f1ar\u00eds Rodr\u00edguez, also a University professor, in this case from the Area of \u200b\u200bInorganic Chemistry. Microbiology belongs to Professor Concepci\u00f3n Herrero, in position 893, and in 911 we find Paula Fraga Lamas, professor and researcher in the Area of \u200b\u200bElectronic Technology.
