Convenio marco de colaboracion UDC-Inditex

The University of A Coruña and Inditex sign a framework agreement to channel and promote their collaboration projects

  • The collaboration between both entities has been going on for two decades and has materialized in a battery of initiatives and research projects in various fields such as legal, financial or community investment.
  • The different initiatives are provided by Inditex with an annual contribution that in the last financial year exceeded 1.3 million euros and which amounts to 7.6 million in the last decade.

A Coruña, April 30, 2025.- University of A Coruña (UDC) and Inditex have signed a Framework Collaboration Agreement to channel and promote the different projects and initiatives that both entities have been developing for more than two decades.

The agreement, which was ratified on Monday at the company’s headquarters in Arteixo by the CEO of Inditex, Óscar García Maceiras, and the rector of the UDC, Ricardo Cao Abad, will also allow the common terms and conditions of future collaborations between both entities to be established, as well as formalizing the mechanisms for their correct monitoring.

 

Projects and collaboration

The collaboration between Inditex and the UDC has been going on for more than two decades and has materialized in a battery of projects and initiatives, mainly research and knowledge transfer, in different areas such as legal, financial or community investment.

This activity receives a grant from Inditex that exceeded 1.3 million euros in the last financial year. The funds donated by the company to the UDC for these activities, which have promoted the excellence of this university institution and benefited hundreds of students, exceed 7.6 million euros in the last decade (period 2015 – 2024).

Currently, the University of A Coruña has eight projects sponsored by Inditex underway: the Chair of Family Business, the Chair of Spanish Language and Culture, the Development of Social Responsibility at the UDC, which includes the Chair of Sustainability, the Chair of Artificial Intelligence in Green Algorithms, the University Master’s Degree in Digital Law and Artificial Intelligence (MUDDIA), the Master’s Degree in Innovation and Financial Digitalization, and the InMotion programs, which provide grants for stays abroad for doctoral students, and InTalent, for the return and recruitment of research staff.
