and opportunities

The ports of A Coruña and Ferrol are located in the main international shipping routes between Europe, America and Asia. They specialize in loading and unloading bulk items, fishery products, and miscellaneous general merchandise, in addition to their regular feeder lines and cruising activity. It should be noted that they are among the leading ports in Spain in downloads of both fresh and frozen fish.

A Coruña has an international community airport. Nearby are those of Santiago de Compostela and Vigo. Currently the three Galician airports have several daily flights to major Spanish cities, as well as various direct international connections.

Road and rail network

The area has a modern road network which articulates the community internally and connects it to the rest of the country.

Today the railway interconnects the main Galician cities and connects Galicia with the rest of Spain and Portugal.
