The Rector presents the first researchers of the UDC-Inditex program

A Coruña, April 12, 2017.- The Rector of the University of Coruña, Julio Abalde, and the Vice-Rector of Scientific Policy, Research and Transfer, Salvador Naya, will present the event on Monday, 17, at 11:00 a.m. in a press release to the two first researchers of the UDC-Inditex InTalent Program, in the Press Room of the Rector’s office.
In this first call for the InTalent UDC-Inditex program, 122 applications from all over the world were submitted. A commission of experts, chaired by Vice Chancellor Naya and made up of five researchers specialized in different scientific disciplines, finally elected Elena Pazos Chantrero and José Antonio Cortés Vázquez, who will also be present at the press conference this Monday.
InTalent is a program to capture and retain research excellence in Galicia. Created by the University of Coruña in 2016, it has funding from Inditex for a total amount of 1,450,000 euros to hire six researchers, who will join two years in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The amount of each contract will be 45,000 euros per year, plus an additional 10,000 euros for Postal expenses for the start-up of your scientific project.
