A Coruña, October 31, 2016.- The head of the University of Coruña, Julio Abalde, will present in a press release on Monday, November 2, the first call to hire two postdoctoral researchers of the UDC-Inditex InTalent Program. The presentation to the media will take place in the Press Room of the Rectors office at 11:00 a.m., and in addition to the Rector will be the Vice-Rector of Scientific Policy, Research and Transfer, Salvador Naya. The UDC-Inditex InTalent Program aims to attract to the University of Coruña scientists with a broad international career to develop their research projects at the UDC research centers in Coruña and Ferrol. This Program that is being launched is born from collaboration with the company Inditex, after which on October 17 the leader and president of Inditex, Pablo Isla, signed a collaboration agreement. A multinational will commit to financing the project, which will expire in 2021, with a total of 1,450,000 euros to hire six scientists. The selected researchers will join annually and progressively in groups of two years 2017, 2018 and 2019. After the period of stay of each researcher, they will join UDC as teaching and research staff. The scientists will be selected by a commission that will evaluate their merits, based on research excellence or main criterion. The positive scientific and social impact of the research plan will also be assessed. Each researcher will remain contracted under the agreement for two years, with the possibility of extension for another year.
